Photos of the Week

The Beech Academy students from key stage 3 enjoyed a sleepover in school on Thursday 10th May.  For many pupils it was the first night away from their parents and they all did really well.  They enjoyed team activities, pizzas, a competitive game of rounders and a film.  This week's Extra Mile certificate goes to all the staff at the Beech Academy who contributed to a great evening - many thanks for your continued hard work.

The Bramble Academy held a Just Dance-athon in aid of Sports Relief.  All classes enjoyed dancing throughout the day with some fab costumes worn by the children and staff.  Well done to everyone who participated.

The Bramble Academy held their World Book Day with parents and carers invited to a "book buzz' coffee morning where they were able to read a story book with their child.

The Year 1 class at the Bramble Academy had a fantastic afternoon box modelling buildings to create London.  The children along with parents were very imaginative and some fabulous creations were made.  A huge thank you to all who came.

A massive well done and congratulations to all our students who were involved in Mansfield RUFC U15 Girls Area 4 Cup success, with their 22-17 victory over Old Northamptonians at Leicester Forest RUFC.  Winning the U15 Area 4 Cup.

Well done to Andy Paling from The Brunts Academy, who is this week's winner of the Extra Mile Award.  Andy stepped into staff extra-curricular and enrichment opportunities for students last week, due to other members of his team being on external training.

Well done to Gavin Husband who won the book prize of ‘Carl Hendrick – what does it look like in the classroom’ for his literature review in the last Teaching and Learning newsletter. Gavin was featured for writing a book review on “The Secret to Literacy” by David Didau in the November edition and it was really well received by staff.
