The Evolve Alliance Visioning and Leadership Conference - 10th October 2017

A big thank you to students from the Brunts Academy who are supporting the Evolve Alliance Visioning and Leadership Conference by being part of the 'meet and greet' team.

eech - A huge well-done to year 11 students who hosted the Macmillan coffee morning (with a little guidance from Miss Warrington). As well as raising £176.38 for a very worthwhile cause, the students were able to use photographs as evidence for their BTEC Hospitality qualification. We are very proud of all our students, both those who osted and those who came as guests, for their exemplary behaviour and for demonstrating the values we think are important as a trust (including inclusivity and endeavouring to raise as much money as possible).

Bramble – A group of children attended a special event at Yeoman Hill Park to honour those who lost their lives at the Battle of Passchendaele during 1916-1917.

They laid poppy crosses on a specially designed poppy on the park along with other members of the public and it was a very emotional afternoon for those who were affected during this momentous time.

Brunts had a record breaking Year 5/6 open evening where over 500 hundred parents, carers and potential students attended to find out more about the academy. Despite the miserable weather feedback was very positive from both parents and students and a huge amount of thanks should go out to all of the staff who contributed in making it a highly successful evening.

Well done to this week's extra mile winner, Louise Bingley from The Bramble Academy, for working tirelessly and staying late after school, every night, last week to develop the Year 6 learning environment with some fantastic results!  Brilliant work - thank you for going the extra mile.
